Nine Inch Nails Live in Hong kong

Excellent performance from Nine Inch Nails last night, from Hyperpower to Hurt, with some classic NIN tracks and new songs from Year Zero thrown in. Lost my voice somewhere in the mosh pit during 'Head like a Hole' and still have not got it back more than 24 hours later! I had been fairly well behaved up until then.

The set went something like this :

Hyperpower!
The Beginning of the End
Heresy
Terrible Lie
March of the Pigs
Something I Can Never Have
Closer
Survivalism
Burn
Gave Up
Me I'm Not
The Great Destroyer
Eraser
Only
Wish
No You Don't
Piggy
The Good Soldier
The Day the World Went Away
Dead Souls
Suck
Down In It
The Hand That Feeds
Head Like a Hole
Hurt

It was a surprise to hear them play Joy Division's "Dead Souls", which they covered for the soundtrack for the film The Crow. I think "The Frail" may have featured in there somewhere also, but cannot really remember for some reason!.

Next up - Linkin Park on November 20th. I am taking Darling along to that one so will have to behave - well, maybe ;-)

Thailand Trip

After being back just over two weeks now from our trip to Thailand I have finally had chance to upload some photos to the photoblog, (click on the photo links on the right hand side of the page to view). It was a good trip, especially the first few days which we spent up in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, which is great for visiting temples (if you like that sort of thing of course), and generally kicking back and relaxing at the rather plush Mandarin Oriental hotel.

Phuket was a complete wash out, with only two hours of sunshine in the 6 days that we were there. Fortunately I had hired a car so we could drive off around the island checking out different spa's on the way, in our pursuit of some serious relaxation.
